Post by © Cheapflights Ltd on Monday 23 June, 2008 in Other Airlines

Frontier Airlines will be serving healthy food options on board Airbus flights as of next month.

The carrier has teamed up with Denver-based Udi's Handcrafted Foods to offer passengers fresh sandwiches, salads and fruit cups.

Salads and sandwiches will be available to purchase on daytime and evening flights from Denver to Anchorage, Costa Rica and Mexico. Fruit cups will be sold on all flights to destinations 540 miles or more from Denver.

Cathy Bradley, Frontier's Vice-President of Inflight Services, said: "This is just another step Frontier Airlines is taking to give its customers the best travel experience possible.

"Udi's is a well-known and well-respected Denver-based company that provides a superior product to its customers. These fresh, gourmet sandwich, salad and fruit cup options will be a great addition to the Frontier in-flight experience."

Sandwiches will cost $6, salads will sell for $7 and fruit cups will be priced at $3.
