Delta Air Lines will offer a number of new flights from Salt Lake City later this year. The carrier, which merged with Northwest Airlines in October 2008, is taking over Northwest's Salt Lake City flights, as well as expanding its own services.
New flights between Salt Lake City and Bismarck, Des Moines, El Paso, Fargo, Indianapolis, Sioux Falls, Nashville and Milwaukee will begin on June 4. Delta will offer these flights on a daily basis.
Meanwhile, the carrier will expand current flights between Salt Lake City and Baltimore, Spokane, Oakland, Portland, Phoenix, St Louis, Los Angeles and Seattle.
Bob Cortel, senior vice president of Network Planning at Delta, said: "The addition of new non-stop flights and added frequencies from Delta's Salt Lake City hub means thousands of airline customers will have faster options for connecting across the Mountain West to points around the world, all powered by the benefits of the Delta-Northwest merger."
