Airline News: Air France Goes to eBay – Auctions Off Seats on A380 Flight

Serious travelers will want to get in on this auction: Air France is auctioning off seats on its new Airbus A380 starting today, Oct. 1.

The Airbus A380's inaugural flights from Paris to New York on Nov. 20 and New York to Paris on Nov. 21 are up for bids on eBay through Oct. 21. The opening bid starts at $380 for Voyageur (economy) class and $1,380 in Affaires (business) class. The winning bid also includes a return ticket on a regular Air France flight.

The proceeds of the auction to go previously selected charities in France, India and South Africa.

Regular commercial flights on the A380 will start on Nov. 23. Air France has announced that future routes will include Paris to Dubai and Paris to Tokyo.
