Delta offers discounts for North Carolina travel

Delta Airlines has announced discount airfares and frequent flyer mile benefits for direct flights to and from Hickory, North Carolina this fall.

Hickory is a good starting point for outdoor adventure travel in North Carolina's rugged Western mountains.

One-way airfares will range from $79 to $139 for flights serving Hickory. Some samples include Atlanta for $79, West Palm Beach for $94, and Los Angeles for $139.

In addition, customers can earn 1,000 bonus miles on Delta's frequent flyer program for each round-trip flight serving Hickory.

Passengers looking for the cheap airfares must book their tickets before September 23, 2005 and travel between September 15 and November 20, 2005.

Delta operates over 120 daily flights to seven cities in North Carolina. Those cities are Asheville, Charlotte, Fayetteville, Greensboro, Kinston, Raleigh-Durham, and Wilmington.
