JetBlue adds new route

Discount airline JetBlue has announced a new direct route between Seattle Tacoma International Airport and Boston's Logan International Airport.

The first flights between these coastal cities will leave on November 3 of this year.

To promote the new route, New York-based JetBlue is offering a discount airfare of $99 one-way. To obtain this airfare, travelers must book their tickets by September 30 and fly between November 3 and December 14.

After the sale, JetBlue has said that one-way airfares will range from $149 to $349, depending on availability and how far in advance the reservation is made.

The added route will make Seattle the tenth destination JetBlue serves from its hub in Boston.

The schedule so far is a flight leaving for Seattle at 8.45pm and arriving at 11.59pm. The red-eye flight back to Boston leaves at 12.55am and arrives at 9.10am. While there is only one flight per day, this could increase, if demand warrants more flights.

JetBlue currently serves 32 destinations in 13 states, including flights to the Dominican Republic, the Bahamas, and Puerto Rico.
