JetBlue adds another television channel
Discount airline JetBlue already offers its passengers 36 channels of DIRECTV, but today it has added another.
The New York-based airline will now broadcast the WNYW-FOX5 station on all of its flights. WNYW is a more local New York City station, featuring local news and programs.
The announcement means that JetBlue now offers the most in-flight live television channels of any U.S. airline.
JetBlue's vice president of marketing, Andrea Spiegel, said the new channel would give customers another way of staying in touch with the latest events in New York.
Along with the local news, WNYW features popular programs such as American Idol, The OC, 24, and House.

Welcome news! Jetblue are ahead of the game with this seat-back-TV service that has rave reviews everywhere.
It is strange that more airlines have not followed suit. Southwest followed Jetblue with the leather seats but when are the TV's coming? Perhaps it will be for Virgin America to be the second carrier to follow Jetblue's lead?
I hear that flying with kids is hassle free the moment the TV goes on. A trip transforming experience.
The only problem with Jetblue is that it does not fly enough routes yet! Keep on growing JB...
