JetBlue adds yet another route
After a major route expansion on the east coast, discount airline JetBlue is now adding another route that connects the east and the west.
Starting January 19, 2006, JetBlue will fly direct between Oakland, California and Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
The route will be JetBlue's fifth non-stop route from Oakland and its seventh from South Florida.
Introductory discount airfares will start at $89 each way. Tickets must be purchased before October 31 for travel between January 19 and February 14, 2006.
After the promotional period airfares will range from $149 to $349 depending on how far in advance tickets are booked.
David Neeleman, JetBlue's chief executive officer, said: "There has been so much tremendous customer response to our non-stop service between Fort Lauderdale and Long Beach, so it makes sense to offer more non-stop, low-fare service from South Florida and the West Coast."
