Air and hotel deals to Turks and Caicos
With the kind of high-season, cheap seats that discount airline Spirit Airlines is offering to Turks and Caicos. you may be able to splurge a bit on some very nice hotel packages.
Spirit inaugurates services from Fort Lauderdale (FLL), Tampa (TPA), and Orlando (MCO) to Providenciales on February 16, and to Grand Turk on February 19.
When you get to the Caribbean enclave, there are several luxury resort deals from which to choose.
- A five-day, four-night dive package at The Sands at Grace Bay goes for $1,770. Included are accommodations for two, airport transfers, and round-trip transportation to the marina. Lunch and drinks during the dive excursion, as well as tanks and soft weights, are also part of the package. Hotel taxes and service fees are thrown in. The offer is good through April 22.
- The Palms is selling three nights of upscale relaxation for $2,175. The Palm d’Or package gives you and that special someone a choice of watersport excursions such as sailing, snorkeling, parasailing, or waterskiing. The price includes a deluxe suite, daily continental breakfast, airport transfers, and dinner for two in Parallel 23, the hotel’s restaurant. Room tax and service charges are included. This too runs through April 22.
- For $2,679, Point Grace Resort serves up three suite nights, continental breakfast, lunch, and nightly gourmet dinners at Grace’s Cottage. Drinks with meals are not included, but evening cocktails are, as are hors d’oeuvres, a half-hour massage, golf, tennis, and access to the fitness center. This offer runs through December 2006.
With Spirit Airlines’ new flights, getting to Turks and Caicos is infinitely affordable. The carrier flies new Airbus twinjets to the islands. The craft offers coach seating and Spirit Plus business class, with 2x2 leather seats and lots of legroom.
