BA offers free London hotel rooms
Here's a surefire way to stretch your travel dollars. British Airways just revived its popular "London for Free” promotion.
The deal offers two free nights' hotel accommodations in the central part of the city when you purchase a round-trip discount ticket between the United States and any BA destination worldwide.
The beauty of this deal is that you can opt to do London, or stay over for a couple of days and then connect onward.
Sample round-trip fares leaving New York JFK or Newark (EWR) include:
- London $298
- Paris $378
- Rome $427
- Barcelona $433
- Dubrovnik $427
- Cairo $636
- Nairobi $890
- Cape Town $1,354
Tickets have to be purchased by Thursday, February 2, and travel - with the exception of India - is valid through April 2, 2006.
"London for Free" is not just for trips that originate in New York. They're good from all of British Airways' U.S. gateways. Discount airfares to London from some key cities include:
- Boston from $318
- Philadelphia from $338
- Washington from $358
- Miami from $448
- Chicago from $334
- Los Angeles from $468
- Seattle/Tacoma from $558
If you want significantly more legroom, and don't want to bust the budget in the process, upgrade to BA's World Traveller Plus by paying $200 extra. Seats are roomier, and you get a separate cabin. It's the perfect place for sleeping at 35,000 feet.
