JetBlue wants NYC to Bermuda route
In news that will brighten up frozen New Yorkers, JetBlue may soon be running nonstop flights from The Big Apple to Bermuda.
The airline has applied to the US Department of Transportation for permission to run two flights a day from John F. Kennedy International Airport to Bermuda starting in May.
Before JetBlue can open the route it must be granted permission by the US and Bermuda governments, but if successful the sunshine service will be added to the 370 flights (to 34 destinations) that the airline already operates each day.
The Bermuda service is expected to follow JetBlue's standard travel conditions, which provide assigned seating, ticketless travel, and no overnight requirement for a round-trip.
If JetBlue is granted permission it will be going head-to-head with American Airlines, which already runs nonstop flights between JFK and Bermuda International Airport.

Cheap flights to Bermuda cannot come soon enough!
Living in Boston the fares from there are extremely high and even AA from NY is not much better.
Good luck Jet Blue! Hope they get the route.
