American Eagle to fly Pittsburgh to LaGuardia
A new service is set to start up between Pittsburgh and New York's LaGuardia Airport (LGA). American Eagle has announced that the new, four-times-a-day service will commence on April 3. On weekends three round-trip flights will run each day.
The 37-seat Embraer 135 and 44-seat Embraer 140 regional jet aircraft will leave Pittsburgh daily at 7am, 9.15am, 11.30am and 5.29pm landing in New York at 8.28am, 10.40am, 12.51pm and 6.54pm respectively.
Returning to Pittsburgh, the flights depart at 9.25am, 3.30pm, 6pm and 8.40pm and pull up to the gate at 10.57am, 5.04pm, 7.38pm and 10.09pm. (Weekend services vary and customers should check with the airline.)
American Eagle is the regional affiliate of American Airlines and is the country's largest regional operator. The Pittsburgh to LaGuardia service adds to the 1,700 daily flights that American Eagle operates between 140 cities.
The airline has yet to indicate how much fares will be on its newest city-to-city service.
