United Airlines has signed a new code share agreement with South America's TACA GROUP, which should expand international destination options, frequent flier schemes for both airlines, and spell good news for passengers.
TACA GROUP offers an extensive service in the Americas with hubs in El Salvador, Costa Rica and Peru, serving 35 cities in 19 countries. This will open up a new network of flights and destinations for United passengers to redeem their frequent flier points.
Once the technical aspects are in place and full government approvals have been given, United customers will be able to book flights with connecting TACA services all the way through on one ticket.

The new flights will begin in April, breaking the monopoly that United Airlines has on the route and cutting ticket prices.

Travelers using Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport’s (DFW) new International Terminal D or parking in the facility’s adjacent garage, should enjoy clear, uninterrupted wireless reception thanks to a new distributed antenna system designed to handle cellular and PCS-band commercial wireless signals.
Furnished by Andrew Corporation, the system works by receiving signals from operators’ base stations, and then sending them down hallways, through corridors, and into the nooks and crannies that comprise Terminal D. Andrew has lots of experience at the airport, having already installed distributed antenna systems in Terminals A, B, C and E – as well as other buildings in the massive airport.

Delta Air Lines is touting the fact that its second- and third-largest hubs led the pack in terms of on-time arrival performance this past year.
