Baltia to begin JFK to St. Petersburg service
Baltia Airlines says it plans to begin nonstop service from New York JFK to St. Petersburg’s Pulkovo International Airport (LED) later this year. The carrier hasn’t specified a start date.
A three-class Boeing 747 is scheduled to fly the route, operating out of Terminal Four at John F. Kennedy International Airport. Currently, there is no nonstop service from JFK to St. Petersburg.
Eventually, the airline plans to operate four 747s, and fly them from New York to five destinations in the Baltic region: Moscow; Riga in Latvia (RIX); Minsk; Belarus (MSQ); and Kiev in The Ukraine (KBP).
Baltia’s frequent flier program is straightforward enough. It’s called “Freeloader”.
Currently, there are only two carriers offering nonstop service from the United States to Moscow’s Sheremetyevo International Airport: Delta Air Lines and Aeroflot Russian Airlines. Both fly 767-300 widebodies from JFK.

This airline has been saying this for years. It will never take off. They have no slots, they have no planes, they have no leases. You guys fell for a joke!

As Andrey previously mentioned, it seems like a joke on the stockholders. If the company has confidence in its intentions, it should issue "free" additional shares as compensation to the existing stockholders.
