Delta to Durango

Summertime approaches and leisure routes are sprouting up all over. One of the latest is Delta Connection’s new Salt Lake City (SLC) to Durango (DRO) run.

In launching the service, Delta Connection joins United Express, and US Airways as service providers to the western Colorado resort town. United Express flies out of Denver (DEN), and US Airways Express from Phoenix (PHX).

From July 1, there will be two daily Delta Connections nonstops on the year-round Salt Lake City to Durango route, both via Canadair Regional Jet.

What brings travelers to Durango? Depending on the season - golf, cross-country or downhill skiing, train rides on the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad, and year-round access to Mesa Verde National Park.

Delta Connection is offering special, introductory discount airfares to Durango. Although the rates quoted are one-way, they’re predicated on a round-trip purchase and must be purchased by April 18.

Fares to Durango from Salt Lake City cost from $129; Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) or San Diego (SAN) from $139; San Jose (SJC) from $149; Atlanta (ATL) or Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood (FLL) from $159; and Kona (KOA) from $349.
