Spring sale from AirTran

AirTran Airways has launched a systemwide sale with fares from $49.

Some sample cheap tickets include: Akron/Canton, Atlanta, Baltimore and Boston from $49; Dallas and Dayton from $59 and Ft Lauderdale and Detroit from $79.

The fares are available to purchase until April 4 and valid for travel until October 4. Customers can purchase the sale fares for one-way travel and are not required to make a round-trip or Saturday night stay. However they are not valid for use on Sundays and must be purchased 14 days in advance of travel.

Fares for Grand Bahama, Las Vegas and Florida are valid from April 25 until October 4.

The lowest sale fares are available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays with additional fares applicable on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays.

AirTran currently operates 600 flights a day to 50 destinations and travelers can purchase the sale fares via the Web site or the reservation line on 1-800-AIR-TRAN.
