American Eagle to link DFW and Harrisburg
The emergence of regional jets in recent years has enabled network carriers to reach out to all sorts of smaller cities, affording fliers there great connection opportunities. Harrisburg, Pennsylvania (MDT) is a case in point.
American Eagle plans to launch once-daily nonstop service from American Airlines’ Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) megahub to Pennsylvania’s capital city on September 6. A 70-seat Canadair Regional Jet will make the run. From DFW, travelers can connect to cities throughout the south and southwest as well as to an array of American international flights.
The schedule is nicely timed to facilitate just those kinds of connections. Eagle Flight 3846 departs MDT at 7:05am, and gets to the gate at DFW at 9:25am. The northbound trip, Flight 3847, departs DFW at 4:15pm and arrives at Harrisburg at 8:15pm.
American Eagle’s reach is growing. Currently, AA’s regional airline operates more than 1,700 flights each day to more than 140 cities in the United States, Canada, the Bahamas, Mexico, and the Caribbean.
American itself is the world’s largest airline. Together with Eagle, and AmericanConnection®, the aggregate AA network serves 250 cities in 40 countries with more than 3,900 daily flights.
