bmi launches 5th anniversary sale
To celebrate its fifth year of flying between Chicago and Manchester, England, UK-based airline bmi is offering a fare sale on its daily transatlantic flights throughout September and October.
The special fares went on sale yesterday (Thursday, June 8) and are available through Friday, June 16. Prices start at $239 each-way for economy, $489 for premium economy, and up to $1,489 each-way for business class travel, excluding taxes and additional fees.
Special anniversary sale fares are also available on bmi's other U.S. to UK route - Las Vegas to Manchester. Economy travel starts at $259 each-way, $509 for premium economy, and $1,509 for business class. Flights only operate on this route on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.
In addition to the celebratory fares, bmi welcomed its inbound 1.20pm flight from Manchester to Chicago with an arch of water spray crowning the plane, provided by the airport's fire department.
Passengers departing from Chicago on the outbound 6.30pm flight were also given a complimentary glass of champagne and a slice of cake to help celebrate the airline's anniversary.
