Aeromexico adds service between Chicago, Mexico City
Mexico's largest airline, Aeromexico, will add a third daily nonstop flight between two major aviation hubs in North and Central America this fall.
The carrier currently operates two flights per day from Chicago O'Hare to Mexico City and due to the popularity of the route; an additional flight will take wing on September 1.
With the extra departure, flights will leave Chicago at 8.40am, 3pm, and 1.40am with return flights leaving Mexico City at 9.30am, 3pm and 8.20pm.
"Aeromexico is excited to be able to significantly increase service from Chicago to our Mexico City hub," said Carlos De Uriarte, Vice President of Aeromexico's U.S. division of Sales and Marketing, noting that the schedule "fits business and leisure travelers' needs".
Despite being based in Mexico, the airline is a prominent carrier at a number of major U.S. hubs, providing routes between Central America and destinations such as Boston, Las Vegas, Miami, and New York City.
