Continental adds 50th eTicket partner

Continental Airlines has become the first carrier to implement inter-airline ticketing capabilities with 50 other airlines.

The latest addition to Continental's eTicketing program, which allows passengers to indulge in ticketless travel on routes normally unavailable to exclusive Continental passengers, is one of Asia's largest carriers - Japan Airlines (JAL).

"We remain committed to ensuring that as many of our customers as possible have the convenience of flying on eTickets," said Mark Erwin, Senior Vice President - Asia/Pacific and Corporate Development.

"Our interline eTicket product with JAL is exciting due to the significant number of passengers who fly on tickets involving both carriers," he continued.

"Additionally, we have an aggressive interline eTicket schedule in place for our remaining interline partners, allowing all of our customers to fly on eTickets as soon as possible."

Continental serves more than 150 domestic destinations directly, or through its subsidiary carriers Continental Express or Continental Connection, and an additional 138 international locations.

The airline is also a member of the SkyTeam alliance, which gives Continental access to over 400 additional destinations worldwide.
