Southwest snacks for 35th birthday
Famed for its onboard snack options and no-frills service, Southwest Airlines has unveiled a new addition to its "menu".
In addition to the bags of peanuts and snack pack boxes provided for all Southwest passengers, there will now also be new airplane-shaped Nabisco crackers, specially made to celebrate the airline's 35th birthday this year.
Made by four-year partner company Kraft Foodservice, the new SWA Plane Crackers will be handed out to passengers flying the airline in its milestone year.
"We think our customers will be surprised and delighted as they enjoy the unique Nabisco snacks," said Tracey Harris, Southwest's Manager of Airport and In-Flight Merchandising.
"We appreciate the fact that Kraft has found such a fun way to help us celebrate our 35th anniversary," she added.
The new snack will be rolled out across Southwest's vast domestic network - 3,100 daily flights between 62 cities in 31 states - throughout the coming year and will be available while stocks last.

Happy Birthday. I have been flying Southwest Airlines since you came to New Orleans (msy). This year I am waiting for you to lift the December 10 booking date. I go to your Web site at least twice a day. I have been flying for about 40 years. Southwest has always treated the customer the best. Keep up the good work and again happy 35th birthday.
Sincerely,
Dennis Bergeron
