Video humor: Cheapflights' best of British event in Boston
In Boston on July 6, Cheapflights.com held an event to celebrate - belatedly - Independence Day, Cheapflights' heritage as a British company and to ponder the reasons why the British may not be so bad after all. In fact, we were looking for reasons not to hate the British.
At the event we had a band playing British music, comedy from Improv Asylum, the Cheapflights team dressed as Redcoats (and looking silly), and a competition to win a vacation to London (which you can still enter, by the way) and a raft of video cameras.
Here are some lighthearted videos from the event giving reasons not to hate the British (warning - they are a bit silly):
Their culture, a video asking Bostonians what they love so much about British culture.
Their food, a video asking New Englanders whether they have tried Spotted Dick and other japes.
Their music, interviews with locals about their British musical heroes, if they can remember any.
Their language, knocking up a few jokes.
Event video: you don’t want to see this one. It involves Cheapflighters looking and behaving stupidly, as well as snippets of interviews with passersby about the Brits.
Enjoy (sorry, we did warn you that they are a bit silly).
Happy travels
The Cheapflights.com team
