Delta’s Web site goes Latin
A report by eMarketer says that, by 2010, the number of Hispanic Internet users in this country is expected to reach some 20.9 million people.
That’s part of the impetus behind Delta Air Lines’ decision to create a Spanish language version of its Web site. Hispanic visitors can get flight information, book seats, get seat assignments, check-in, and check their SkyMiles account.
Delta’s launch of the Hispanic site coincides nicely with its expansion of service to Latin America and the Caribbean, which is going full-bore right now.
To fully appreciate Delta’s Spanish language functionality go to www.delta.com, choose your country from the drop-down menu, and then select Spanish as the language of choice. From there, navigate to reservations, deals, and general check-in.
One of the best reasons for going online to make reservations is to avoid up to $15 in booking fees. There’s another bonus. Delta’s risk-free cancellation policy allows you to cancel certain tickets within 24 hours without penalty should you find lower fares anywhere else, or should your travel plans change.
