Eos outshines competition with transatlantic punctuality
According to the latest UK Civil Aviation Authority data, Eos Airlines has the best on-time performance of any transatlantic airline flying between New York and London from January through May.
The airline specializes in flights between the English capital and the Big Apple and its concentration on this one market appears to be paying dividends for quality of service. An industry-best 71 percent of Eos flights arrived and departed within 15 minutes of the scheduled time.
"This is a clear testament to the dedication and excellence of our operations team," said Dave Spurlock, the founder and Chief Strategic Officer of Eos.
"Our use of London Stansted Airport is also offering a huge time advantage on the ground and in the air in meeting the demanding schedules of our guests."
Eos currently operates one flight a day from New York's John F Kennedy International to London Stansted. From September 8, the airline will offer twice-daily flights six days a week, Sunday through Friday, with one flight on Saturdays.
The new schedule will see the twice-daily flights depart JFK at 7.15pm and 9pm (EST), flying overnight to touch down at Stansted at 7.40am and 9am (GMT), respectively. Return flights will leave London at 10.40am and 7pm, landing in New York at 1.25pm and 9.45pm, local time.
The once-daily Saturday service will fly from New York at 7.15pm and from London at 10.40am.
