Time’s running out on Delta’s European deals
Looking for a fall European holiday at a decidedly decent discount? Delta Air Lines is offering one-way fares for as low as $219, but you’re going to have to clear your calendar, and resolve yourself to make reservations soon (by August 29) to take advantage of this and other discount airfares that the nation’s third-largest carrier is fielding across the Atlantic.
$219 is the price of passage between New York Kennedy (JFK) and Manchester (MAN). Like all the discount airfares we’re about to quote, it’s predicated on a round-trip purchase, and good for travel Monday through Thursday. You have to start your trip between September 12 and October 31, and complete it by November 30.
No advance purchase is required, but you do have to stay over a Saturday night. That limits its use by business travelers, and makes it more attractive for vacationers.
The discount airfares can be had only at www.delta.com, and neither taxes nor fees are included in the price.
All that being said, here’s the rest of the low-fare line-up from JFK:
- Amsterdam (AMS) $279
- Brussels (BRU) $289
- Paris (CDG) $289
