Allegiant's latest destination from Tampa is Columbia
As part of its steady and substantial network expansion from its newest hub in the Tampa Bay area of Florida, Allegiant Air has announced Columbia, South Carolina, as its latest destination.
The vacation airline will operate nonstop service between the two cities three times weekly on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, starting December 14.
Flights from Tampa's St Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport will depart for Columbia at 3.55pm, arriving in South Carolina at 3.20pm. The return flights will take off from Columbia Metropolitan Airport at 3.55pm, landing back in Florida at 5.15pm.
By way of introduction, Allegiant is laying on its standard cheaper fares, with tickets to travel one-way on the new route priced at $49, excluding tax. The special offer is available for purchase through October 14 for travel until the end of January 2007.
The Executive Director of Columbia's airport, Mike Flack, said he was "very happy" at the prospect of welcoming Allegiant flights to the Riverbanks Region.

I was so glad to hear that you are operating out of Columbia. Our family lives there and we are near St. Pete. We now have a affordable way to visit and have the kids visit. I am booking a Christmas visit for our son this week. Thank you.
