Frontier doubles up San Diego to Cancun deal
Frontier Airlines’ soon-to-launch San Diego (SAN) to Cancun (CUN) service comes with a double bonus. Not only is there an introductory discount airfare of $149, there is also the chance to earn double miles on the nonstop route.
December 16 is the start date for the flights, which will operate on Saturdays only. Saturday service is good for travelers and airlines alike. Leisure fliers like to travel on weekends; and airlines have extra aircraft available on weekends. That's because demand for business travel isn't as strong on Saturdays. Put the two together, and they make for this kind of deal.
The new San Diego to Cancun flight departs Saturday, and returns Sundays.
To cash in on the introductory deal you'll have to book no later than 9:59pm (Mountain Daylight Time) on October 4. Fly on that $149 discount fare from December 16 through July 8, 2007. The rate is one-way, and predicated on a round-trip purchase. Neither taxes nor fees are included. They're extra.
As for double miles, you'll be able to rack them up when traveling through January 27, 2007.
