JetBlue to fly Bostonians to the beaches
Low-cost carrier JetBlue Airways will be expanding its service to the Caribbean with daily nonstop flights from Boston Logan International to San Juan in Puerto Rico this winter.
The new route will be launched on December 13 and run through April 30, 2007, as a seasonal offering and it will supplement JetBlue's current year-round Puerto Rico flights from New York-JFK and Orlando, Florida.
Departures from Boston will leave at 8.05am, arriving on the island of Puerto Rico at 1.05pm. The return leg flights will take off from San Juan at 2pm, landing back in the Massachusetts city at 5pm. All times given are local.
Fares on JetBlue's latest route are available from $109 each-way, excluding taxes and additional fees.
"JetBlue's new service between Boston and San Juan comes just in time, right before the snow starts falling," said JetBlue CEO David Neeleman.
"Our new low-fare flights to San Juan, which complement existing year-round service to sunny spots in the Bahamas, Florida, California, Arizona and Nevada, are a result of our customers telling us where they want us to fly."
