Click Mexicana to kick off West Coast service
As the name implies, this is an Internet-oriented carrier. Click Mexicana, Grupo Mexicana's discount airline, is poised to begin nonstop service from both Los Angeles (LAX) and Las Vegas (LAS) to Torreon (TRC). To book, just go to www.mexicana.com.
The service on these new United States routes is somewhat infrequent (twice a week), but it is aboard 100-seat Fokker 100 twinjets, craft configured so that coach passengers are afforded 35 inches of precious seats pitch (essentially, personal space).
October 15 sees the launch of Torreon to Las Vegas service; on October 16 LAS to TRC gets off the ground.
On October 18 Click Mexicana lofts its first Torreon to Los Angeles flights; and on October 19, LAX to TOR takes wing.
Click Mexicana is aiming at the leisure and Hispanic markets. It already offers an extensive array of intra-Mexico service, flying to 16 domestic destinations from Mexico City, many of the out-of-the-way, hard-to-get-to cities such as Chetumal (CTM).
