Delta’s great Ghanaian deal
First off, this isn’t a tourist route. But it is one that shows lots of promise for VFR (visiting friends and relatives) traffic. We’re talking about New York Kennedy (JFK) to Accra, Ghana (ACC). One of Delta Air Lines' slew of new transatlantic routes, the carrier is putting seats to Africa on sale for a very reasonable $399, one-way.
JFK – ACC is due to take wing on December 11, 2006, pending foreign government approval.
For sale purposes, however, that’s not the most important date. November 16, 2006 is. That’s when this deal expires. You have to book and buy by then. $399 will fly you not just from New York to Accra, but also from either Washington, DC Dulles (IAD), or Washington, DC Reagan National (DCA) to the Ghanaian capital. There’s a significant demand for the service from the DC area.
These discount airfares are one-way, and are predicated upon a round-trip purchase. They include neither taxes nor fees. You can travel outbound on these discount airfares from December 25 through March 31, 2007 and return by June 30, 2007.
Delta offers lots of connectivity over its New York JFK gateway. It is increasing service there all the time. Delta is a key member of the globe-girdling SkyTeam alliance.
