US Airways’ bold new beach deals
For those of you into endless summers, US Airways has some deals with one-way discount airfares starting as low as $79.
Summer vacation may be over, but the saving grace is that the sun is shining somewhere. While the sun may always shine, this sale won’t. It goes away on November 26, so you’ll want to book and buy your beach-bound passage soon. All the discount airfares US Airways is offering are quoted one-way, but they entail a round-trip purchase. The rates include neither taxes nor fees. They’re extra.
US Airways is offering discount airfares to more than 30 beaches throughout its route system, places such as St. Croix, Grand Cayman, Mazatlan, and Cozumel. Here’s a sampling of the kind of savings you can expect. Just go to www.usairways.com for the full array:

- New York LaGuardia (LGA) to Nassau (NAS) $89
- Washington, DC to Cancun (CUN) $149

US Airways operates out of major hubs at Phoenix (PHX), Charlotte (CLT), Las Vegas (LAS), and Philadelphia (PHL). The carrier, which merged not long ago with America West, is a member of the globe-girdling Star Alliance. That affords fliers lots of connection opportunities.
