Frontier provides new West Coast links to Mexico
The northern Californian cities of Sacramento and San Jose are set to receive new air service from Frontier Airlines from next March, heading to the Mexican resort of Cabo San Lucas.
A nonstop service between the sunshine spot and the Californian capital of Sacramento will fly three times weekly, starting March 3, 2007, and on the same day a four times weekly service to Cabo San Lucas will begin from San Jose.
Fares are available for booking now and, as an early purchase incentive, Frontier is offering tickets from $114 from San Jose and $119 from Sacramento. These prices are each-way based on a round-trip purchase, do not include tax, and must be paid for by December 20 for travel before October 9, 2007, on the new routes.
From San Jose, flights leave at 7.30am on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, arriving in Cabo San Lucas at 11.20am. On Saturday, flights leave at 7am, arriving at 10.50am.
The return leg leaves Mexico at 12.10pm on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, arriving back in San Jose at 2.10pm. The Saturday service leaves at 7.25pm, touching down at 9.25pm.
Sacramento service operates on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. The weekday departures take off from the Californian city at 7.25am, landing at 11.20am. Take-off on Saturday is scheduled for 2.40pm, arriving in Cabo San Lucas at 6.35pm.
The return flights leave Mexico at 11.40am on Saturday, arriving back in California at 1.50pm. Weekday service (Tuesday/Thursday) leaves at 12.10pm, landing in Sacramento at 2.20pm.
