BA cuts First-Class airfares
Almost everything is relative, especially the term “discount airfare”. British Airways is radically reducing the price of round-trip First-Class passage from select North American cities to London, with rates starting at CAD$7,392. That's actually 68 percent off the regular fare.
If your pocketbook permits, and you've got a penchant for the finer things in life (BA's First Class really is extraordinary), book and buy by tomorrow (Tuesday, February 13). Here's a look-see at the sort of First Class discount airfares British Airways is offering:
- Atlanta (ATL) to London Gatwick (LGW) $9,938 (41 percent reduction);
- Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) to London Gatwick $9,782 (49 percent reduction);
- Phoenix (PHX) to London Heathrow (LHR) $11,096 (49 percent reduction);
- Calgary (YYC) to London Heathrow CAD$7,392 (68 percent reduction)
- Vancouver (YVR) to London Heathrow CAD$9,240 (68 percent reduction).
Outbound travel on these fares has to happen on or before February 28. There's a 12-month maximum stay, and no advance purchase requirement. However, taxes and fees are not included in the quotes.
