Clear the way at JFK – faster security clearance

Want to move through airport security fast? It’s possible. One proven, consistent way to do that is via Clear© Registered Traveler. Already operating at a number of airports around the country, Clear, in conjunction with Virgin Atlantic Airways, is opening another lane at New York Kennedy (JFK), in Terminal 4.

Clear expects the lane to be up and running by mid-March.

The set-up saves time in transiting security. The price is $99.95 plus successful passage of a background check, and registration of biometric identifiers, such as your iris print.

Airport enrollment facilities will be open this month. From Monday, February 19, there will be a mobile enrollment center in the lobby of the Grand Hyatt Central in Manhattan.

Some 36,000 travelers already are part of the program, first launched at Orlando International Airport (MCO) in July 2005. Clear is also up and running at British Airways’ Terminal 7 at JFK, Indianapolis (IND), Cincinnati (CVG), and San Jose (SJC). In March, Clear will open with Air France in JFK’s Terminal 1. Expect other airports to adopt the fast-track philosophy.
