Continental voted 'Best of Latin America'
Readers of Latin Trade magazine have voted Continental Airlines their favorite carrier in a two-month online poll.
The Houston-based airline scored highest overall across nine categories assessed in the Best of Latin America survey, including Business-Class provisions, onboard cuisine, frequent-flier programs, ticketing, comfort, and service.
Respondents voted Continental's in-flight food, frequent-flier facilities, and boarding the best among airlines that serve Latin America.
"Naturally, we are very happy to learn that seasoned travelers to Latin America are pleased with our service," said Pete Garcia, the airline's Vice-President of Latin American services.
"We have made a strong commitment to Latin America," he added.
Continental flies to 76 destinations in 23 Latin American and Caribbean countries, with more links between the US and Mexico than any other carrier, and flights to more Central American destinations than any of its rivals.
According to Greg Brown, Editor of Latin Trade: "The survey, now in its fifth year, is conducted in the same manner as the well-known travel surveys in Travel + Leisure and Conde Nast Traveler, only Latin Trade focuses specifically on business travel needs in the Americas."
