Icelandair’s marvelous Minneapolis deals

After a brief hibernation, Icelandair returns to the Twin Cities soon, and the discount airline is doing it with flair, offering round-trip discount airfares to Europe from Minneapolis/St. Paul for as little as $330.

There’s a narrow window of opportunity to fly on these fares: March 15 through 31. What makes these discount airfares really neat is that there’s no advance purchase requirement, although you will have to stay over a Saturday night. Neither taxes nor fees are included in the prices we’re about to quote.

Trips to Europe from the United States on Icelandiar entail either an en-route stop at the carrier’s hub at Reykjavik’s Keflavik International Airport (KEF), or a change of planes there.

That said, here’s a look at the discount airfares Icelandair is fielding:

- Reykjavik (KEF) $448
- Amsterdam (AMS) $541
- Copenhagen (CPH) $463
- Frankfurt (FRA) $336
- Glasgow (GLA) $357
- London Heathrow (LHR) $330
- Oslo (OSL) $463
- Paris Charles De Gaulle (CDG) $567
- Stockholm (ARN) $629
