Southwest Vacations' sizzling half-price sale

Here is a really rare deal, a chance to seize a Southwest Airlines Vacations package for half price, as in 50 percent off.

Book a two- to five-night air/hotel package to a valid Southwest Vacations destination and stay at a Hilton, Hyatt, or Holiday Inn. Do that and the second adult in your room travels free.

Packages have to be booked soon, by Sunday (February 18). Travel package destinations include Albuquerque (ABQ), Chicago (MDW), Nashville (BNA), and Phoenix (PHX).

Here’s a sampling of the kinds of savings you can expect. Not all taxes and fees are included in these quotes. The discount travel packages we’re about to quote are for Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, or Saturday travel from March 17 through April 21.

- Albuquerque, the Hyatt Regency. Two nights, two people. From San Diego (SAN), the regular price is $699. The sale price is $349;

- Nashville, the Holiday Inn Express Airport/Opryland. Two nights, two people. From Baltimore/Washington (BWI) the regular price is $439. The sale price is a mere $219;

- Chicago, the Palmer House Hilton. Two nights, two people. From Philadelphia (PHL), the regular rate is $599. The discounted sale rate is just $279;

- Phoenix, the Holiday Inn Phoenix West. Two nights, two people. From Dallas (DAL), the Southwest Vacations’ price tag used to be $429. Now, it’s $214.

See what we mean. This is a serious sale.
