First Miami to Cozumel flights
While legions flock to Cancun (CUN), perhaps the most expansive of Mexican seaside resorts, there hasn’t been a way to fly nonstop Miami (MIA) to Cozumel (CZM) until now.
American Eagle has just launched nonstop propjet service on the route, making for the carrier's eighth Mexican destination, and its first Mexican foray from Miami.
The conveyance of choice in this case is a 64-passsenger ATR-72 propjet, fitted for all-economy service.
The new nonstop is timed nicely to allow you to fly into American Airlines' Miami hub from a number of cities, connect, and then be on your way to the beach. Flight 4947 departs MIA at 12:55pm daily, and arrives Cozumel at 2:30pm, in plenty of time to check into your hotel and then go soak up the day's last rays.
American Eagle’s return flight leaves the Mexican seaside enclave at 3:15pm and gets to the gate in Miami at 6:30pm. That leaves, depending on your destination, decent time to clear Customs and Immigration and connect to your flight home.
American Eagle is a significant player. The regional airline operates more than 1,800 flights a day to more than 160 destinations in the United States, Canada, the Bahamas, Mexico, and the Caribbean.
