Hawaiian revamps flight booking site
Hawaiian Airlines has launched a state-of-the-art online vacation planning tool, allowing fliers to fully customize their itineraries, or compare flight costs per mile.
Known as Trip Planner, the Honolulu-based carrier's new Web site function has been touted as easy-to-use and content-rich, with a facility to search a comprehensive selection of popular hotels, rental car agencies, and other provisions.
Useful information for vacationers published by Frommer's travel guides and Amazon.com is also on display.
"We already had a highly rated Web site," said Mark Dunkerley, President and Chief Executive of Hawaiian Airlines.
"This new launch and its next-generation features reaffirm Hawaiian's leadership in airline e-commerce. We're offering an entirely new approach to planning and booking travel that raises the bar for other airlines."
Additional functions in the pipeline in the coming months include a single-screen overview of all the HawaiianMiles awards and low fare deals on the horizon, and new tools that allow frequent-fliers to book hotels and rental cars using bonus miles.
Soon, customers will also be able to rate services, provide online feedback, or review destinations, hotels, and other services using Hawaiian's upgraded Web site.
