Double AAdvantage miles on new routes out of RDU

Once upon a time, American Airlines operated a major hub at Raleigh/Durham International (RDU). No longer, but that doesn’t mean American has abandoned the burgeoning Research Triangle area. RDU is now a “focus airport” for the airline. American Eagle has taken a lot of the load out of RDU of late, forging new route to key destinations. To get you to notice, American Eagle is offering double AAdvantage frequent-flier miles on these runs.

Specifically, that means double miles from Raleigh/Durham to Jacksonville (JAX), Kansas City (MCI), and Louisville (SDF).

This AAdvantage double-miles deal is valid through July 31. That means the heart of the busy summer season.

To get in on this double-mile offer, you’ll have to register before you travel. Go to www.aa.com/offers. Then, use promotion code AARDU.

First, of course, you have to be an AAdvantage member. If you aren’t, go to www.aa.com/enroll. Membership is free, and the benefits are potentially extraordinary – free flights, upgrades, lots of partner airlines. That’s because American Airlines, this country’s largest carrier, is a member of the globe-girdling oneworld alliance.
