ExpressJet

ExpressJet brand takes off from five airports

ExpressJet has launched services under its own brand from five airports as the regional airline expands its presence. The airline has now lofted nonstop flights between several destinations, including:

El Paso to LA/Ontario
Birmingham to Raleigh-Durham and New Orleans
New Orleans to San Antonio, Jacksonville, Austin, Birmingham, Kansas City, and Raleigh-Durham
Monterey Peninsula to LA/Ontario and San Diego
Bakersfield to San Diego.

Embraer ERJ-145 aircraft operate the routes as, according to Jim Ream, ExpressJet President and Chief Executive, the destination populations "are the right size for our 50-seat aircraft".

Ream added that the carrier will continue to focus on the delivery of convenient air service in similar growing cities.

To celebrate the inauguration of ExpressJet's new routes, JetSet frequent fliers who purchase four round-trip or eight one-way tickets through September 30 will qualify for a free round-trip (excluding taxes and fees) to any of the airline's destinations.

ExpressJet operates assigned seating in a 2x1 layout, as well as offering a valet carry-on service. The airline also operates aircraft under the livery of Delta Connection and Continental Express.
