Frontier links Memphis with Denver and Orlando
Low-cost carrier Frontier Airlines inaugurated new flights from Memphis to Denver and Orlando on Saturday (May 12), with journeys to Las Vegas due to start this week.
The River City is the second Tennessee destination served by Frontier, and will give Shelby County residents access to 20 North American cities via Denver, from Los Angeles and Seattle to Calgary and Los Cabos.
"Memphis residents have gotten the message that they no longer need to drive to Nashville or Little Rock for low fares," said Frontier's John Happ.
"We look forward to a great future of providing travelers with the industry's best customer service flying between Memphis and Denver, and to two of North America's top vacation and convention destinations: Orlando and Las Vegas."
The low-fare airline will launch its twice-weekly service to Nevada's entertainment capital on Thursday, May 17. Flights will depart for Las Vegas on Sunday, as well as Thursday.
The Orlando connection is daily, while two flights per day now link Memphis and Denver.
Each of the new links will be served by Frontier's new Airbus jets, on board which every passenger can enjoy 24 channels of DIRECTV, with at least 33 inches of legroom.
