Northwest to go nonstop from Minneapolis to Ottawa
Northwest Airlines has announced that it will begin operating a new nonstop service between Minneapolis/St. Paul and Ottawa.
Daily flights north of the border from the airline's hub will commence on August 1 and will be operated by Pinnacle Airlines, a Northwest Airlink partner.
Canadair Regional Jet aircraft-operated Flight 2839 will take off from Minneapolis at 6:52pm, touching down in the Canadian capital at 10:12pm.
Return Flight 2848 will leave Ottawa at 8:30am the following morning (August 2) and arrive in Minneapolis at 10:05am.
"We believe that linking the Canadian capital of Ottawa with America's heartland through our Minneapolis/St. Paul hub will open up many new opportunities for both business and leisure travelers in both countries," said Tom Bach, Vice President of Network Planning and Revenue Management at Northwest.
The carrier also operates a three-times-daily service from Minneapolis/St. Paul to Ottawa, via its Detroit hub.
