AA unveils new frequent-flier e-magazine
American Airlines has unveiled a new community element of its frequent-flier program AAdvantage, an e-magazine with video features and forums.
AAdvantage Milestones invites fliers to take virtual tours of oneworld destinations and access user-friendly information, and will encourage frequent fliers to exchange travel information, photographs, or advice.
Members will have access to broadcast and social media, while periodical updates will bring new community features.
"Our customers tell us they want more information on vacation destinations," said Kurt Stache, President of AAdvantage Marketing Programs.
"We think our new e-magazine will break through the clutter and deliver that content in a contemporary, engaging, and entertaining way."
He added that "one of the company's top priorities" was "finding innovative and creative ways to increase consumer participation in the AAdvantage program".
AAdvantage Milestones' featured destination videos are hosted by Comedy Central comedian Regan Burns, and are light-hearted city guides highlighting the major monuments and leading attractions.
