American Airlines offers triple AAdvantage miles

American Airlines is offering triple AAdvantage miles for round-trip travel between New York JFK and London Heathrow until August 31.

With more than 22,000 bonus miles available for each round-trip, passengers could find themselves able to take a free (apart from taxes and airport charges) flight within the US and Canada.

Chuck Imhof, American's Vice-President of Passenger Sales for Greater New York, commented on the offer: "American offers products and services that are designed to please the business traveler, including the frequency of flights we have between the world's two major financial centers of New York and London.

"And this summer, we're making it even more attractive to fly American by including triple AAdvantage miles. It's a great time to be traveling on American across the pond."

First or Business-Class passengers have ample chances to clock up their bonus miles. American is offering six round-trip flights each weekday, using Boeing 777 aircraft for the JFK-Heathrow service.
