Delta.com becomes one-stop shop
Delta Air Lines passengers can now book accommodations and activities, organize travel insurance, and even rent a car online when making a flight reservation at delta.com.
The Atlanta-based carrier offers access to car rental and hotel deals via its Web site, courtesy of its SkyMiles partners. Fliers can make travel arrangements such as airport parking, book city tours, access shuttle services, or secure Crown Room Club passes.
Access America travel insurance deals are also on sale via Delta's site.
"We're constantly adding features to delta.com to make travel planning easy for our customers," commented Josh Weiss, Managing Director of delta.com.
"No other US airline has integrated all of these pieces into a single online transaction. Now our customers can book and buy a flight, hotel, car rental and destination options all at one time."
The added perk of booking several products and services at once is that Delta offers mileage bonuses, thanks to its agreements with Hilton Hotels, Avis Rent A Car, Budget Rent A Car, and other travel firms.
Delta fares can also be as much as $15 lower online.
