Delta’s bountiful BusinessElite deals to Europe

Face it, the front end of airplanes are most often populated by business travelers. They got there because they were megamilers, or because their companies footed the bill.

The area beyond the First or Business-Class curtain is too often terra incognita for leisure travelers unless there’s a discount airfare sale. That’s just what Delta Air Lines is offering – passage in BusinessElite to Europe for a one-way tab starting at $1,119.

That’s the one-way BusinessElite discount airfare from New York Kennedy (JFK) to London Gatwick (LGW). To land this and other premium discount airfares quoted here, you’ll have to make a considerable advance purchase - 50 days.

You’ll also have to stay over at least seven days. That effectively puts these rates out of reasonable reach of there-and-back business travelers who change plans in a hurry. And it’s the reason why Delta can offer this kind of deal.

All these discount airfares are quoted one-way, and are predicated on a round-trip purchase. Neither taxes nor fees are included. They’re extra. Here, in addition to JFK – LGW, is what Delta Air Lines is offering:

- Atlanta (ATL) to Brussels (BRU) $1,379
- Cincinnati (CVG) to Frankfurt (FRA) $1,359
- New York Kennedy (JFK) to Amsterdam (AMS) $1,389
