Plan ahead for that trip Down Under - Qantas' extra flights
Despite the fact that this year’s travel season has barely begun, it's not too early to begin planning for next year, especially if you're thinking about taking a trek Down Under to Australia.
Qantas will be increasing service from the United States to Australia next March on a couple of key routes, providing more seats to one of the most extraordinary regions on the planet.
By laying on two more weekly nonstops from Los Angeles (LAX) to Brisbane (BNE) QF (the airline's code) will offer daily service on the very, very long haul. Qantas is also bumping up its mainstay Los Angeles to Sydney (SYD) service. There will be a total of 17 weekly sojourns on that route.
Add all this together and Qantas will loft 46 flights per week between this country and Australia, doubling the number of nonstops between the US mainland and the carrier's home country.
Perhaps the pre-eminent long-haul specialist in the business, Qantas treats you right in the back of the airplane, as well as up front. Economy-Class perks include complimentary meals, free bar service, and a first-rate AVOD (audio/video on-demand) system. The video screens are built into the seat backs in Economy.
