Southwest adds three new Columbus flights
Ohio residents have more flight options to choose from, thanks to Southwest Airlines' addition of three daily nonstop round-trip flights from Columbus.
From November 4, 2007, the carrier will increase its daily services to Chicago Midway, St Louis, and Tampa Bay.
The Illinois airport will now be served by eight daily flights, the Missouri hub has seen its service doubled, and Tampa Bay will now receive three flights per day from Columbus.
Whitney Eichinger, Spokesperson for Southwest Airlines, said that the additional Chicago Midway service would help customers travelling to the West Coast.
"This new service will provide more convenience for our Columbus Customers, and make it even easier for Southwest Airlines Customers to connect to cities to the west," she said.
"With the addition of this new service, Southwest Airlines now offers Columbus travelers 28 daily nonstop departures from Columbus to nine cities including Baltimore/Washington, Chicago Midway, Las Vegas, Nashville, Orlando, Philadelphia, Phoenix, St. Louis, and Tampa Bay."
The Dallas-based airline was recently named as one of America's most admired companies by Fortune magazine, for the 11th year running.
