Southwest named official airline of World Poker Tour
Southwest Airlines is now the official airline of the World Poker Tour (WPT).
The sponsorship deal will see Southwest Airlines messages delivered throughout WPT episodes, with great prizes on offer, including a free round-trip airfare, and the chance to watch the filming of a WPT final table.
Steve Lipscomb, Founder, President, and Chief Executive Officer of the WPT, was delighted at the new agreement. "As WPT is the premiere 'tour' on the poker circuit, Southwest is the ideal brand for us to align with. We look forward to initiating what is sure to be a very exciting and innovative partnership."
Lilah Steen, National Promotions Specialist for Southwest Airlines, commented: "Southwest Airlines sees this exciting new partnership as a way for customers to see our brand in an entirely new environment.
"We know the world is passionate about poker and we are so happy to be associated with the premier brand for this sport."
Season VI of the WPT will begin early next year on the Travel Channel.

FYI, World Poker Tour's Season VI will begin airing on GSN, not Travel Channel, in 2008.
