USA 3000

Cincinnati’s coming cheap flight connection – USA 3000

Just in time to service the surge of snowbirds south, discount airline USA 3000 plans to launch nonstop service from Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) to St. Petersburg/Clearwater (PIE) this winter. December 18 is the start date.

Although there will be just two flights per week - Tuesdays and Thursdays - between CVG and PIE, USA 3000’s flights are significant. That’s because Cincinnati is all but bereft of discount airline service. USA 3000 already serves CVG with four weekly round-trips to Fort Myers (RSW).

USA 3000 is a bonafide discount airline, but the carrier still offers some interesting in-flight entertainment options aboard its A320 twinjets. There are sitcoms and other TV programming, as well as nine music channels.

Many wintertime travelers like to take their pets along with them when they head south. To that end, the discount airline allows owners to bring their animals on board in pet carriers. Alternately, owners can check animals in the aircraft’s hold. Either way, there’s a fee.
